A day long workshop on 3D Printing Technology has been organized by FAB LAB DUET on December 3, 2017. SPM, DSPM, Technical guru, operator or their representatives of different FAB LAB from different universities (BAU, CUET, DU, IUB, KUET, and RUET) participated in the workshop. Mohammad Rejwan Uddin, Tech Guru, Fab Lab, IUB with Fahim Bhuiyan, RA, IUB also participated and shared their experiences in the workshop. Fusion 360 and Solid Works software were used to train 3D design in this workshop. Prusa 3D printers were operational to print participant’s designs. All printers were provided by “3D Print BD”. Faruk Hannan, Director and CEO of “3D Print BD” was present in this workshop. This company actively working as 3D Printer, CNC Milling and Laser Cutter manufacturer in Bangladesh. He discussed about designing and constructing details of those updated machines especially 3D Printers. Rupok kumar Shaha, Tech Guru and Rokibul Alam Fab Lab, Duet took the floor for workshops designing portion. Professor Dr. Mohammed Alauddin, Vice-Chancellor, DUET, Gazipur was the Chief Guest of this workshop. Professor Dr. Md. Raju Ahmed, FLSM, Fab Lab, DUET was the chair of this event.
